Final Masthead

This is the final desgin for my front covers masthead, I have chosen this becuase the colour scheme is red and yellow which was the colours featured in the 1990's rave scene. The red circles represent mixing decks which again relates top the style of the magazine.  

Masthead Ideas

These are four of the font styles that I think would be most suitable for my magazine, however the colours I have chosen are just to see what they would with a different colour other than black. The first font I don't think is very good as it is more like a graffiti stlye, however graffiti is something that fits in with the dance/house/rave style, even though the rave scene is influenced with graffiti it is not on the forefront as it is part of a subculture. The second font is more digital style than a bubble writting, I don't think it would fit as appropriatly as it is more of a formal font. The third font I think is most appropriate out of all four however the colour would need to be changed as it wouldn't fit with the colour scheme, because it isn't a formal font style it suits the genre of the magazine much more than the second. The forth font I have picked is good and would suit the magazine style as it is acidic and acid heavily influences the genre as this is what the rave scene is based around. Although itwould suit it the most the "S" isn't very clear and is difficult to read.

For my music magazine I would again have a colour for the background of the page as it doesn't look as good because there is a lot of blank space when the background is white.

When I move on to do the music magazine front cover I would add a coloured background so that there isn't as much empty space, having a white background makes the spaces more recognisable. haing this empty space makes the cover look as if there isn't enough things on it.

I selected 5 of these photos because the main image is focused on the left which is what I used on my draft cover. The other one I have chosen is a good image that I could use if I changed the layout of my fornt cover.

Questionaires

From my questionaires I can pick popular topics from my media lessons and feature them in my Aquianas magazine for example I can do a feature on which is preffered out of facebook or twitter.
